Address the past. Repair the present. Improve the future.
Our Mission
The Corporate Legacies Project exists to help institutions inheriting links to the Transatlantic Slave Economy to restore their legacies by addressing their past truthfully, transparently and in ways consistent with their ethos, values and corporate purpose.
Four Phase Consultative Programme
Structured around a process of historical assessment and accounting, our four phase programme provides firms with assistance not only in addressing their involvements in the Transatlantic Slave Economy, but also in managing the associated reputational and ESG risks.
Our programme includes a principled framework for disclosure and reporting, along with suggested pathways for discharging whatever forms of repair might be entailed by these involvements.
These consultations occur at regular intervals over the course of twelve months.
Consultation Enquiries
Acknowledging the gravity of our wrongs is difficult at the best of times. It’s all the more so when those errors were perpetrated a long time ago and by people whose values and interests were very different from what we hold today. It is nevertheless necessary.
